This is the stuff dreams are made of — my dreams at least. This, friends, is my majestic sex toy closet. The culmination of years of collecting, organizing, and fantasizing. It is here where I store my gigantic sex toy collection, which is rapidly nearing 600. How did I get here? Well, shockingly, one does not amass enough sex toys to fill a walk-in closet overnight. In fact, nine years ago, my sex toy collection lived in a single cardboard box under my desk. As I began reviewing more, the toys graduated to a purple zippered storage case, and later to a herd of similar cases. This was an adequate but ineffective long-term system, so when I needed more space, I . . . read more
For Your Nymphomation was a woman-run company that specialized in sex toy storage. I acquired quite a few of their toyboxes before they officially closed their doors in 2012.
…my sex toy collection fit in one toybox (and my photography skillz sucked): This photo was taken on September 6th, 2008. Most of the toys in this box are toys I never use anymore — or that I’ve given away. The exceptions are the Turbo Glider (still awesome, though used rarely) and the Gold Ribbed Love Wand (my first glass dildo — sorta like this — and remains one of my favorites). This was before my toys spilled into five different cases, and way before I switched to plastic drawers for storage. I still had yet to try a silicone dildo, or a butt plug that I could really walk around with. And I hadn’t discovered my G-spot, either. Yep, definitely don’t miss those . . . read more
My sex toy collection has been slowly creeping out of the two For Your Nymphomation cases it was in. Many silicone toys were being kept in their plastic dildo-shaped packaging. It became more and more apparent to me that I needed more storage space, so I finally bit the bullet and ordered some more cases. Yes, cases. Three of them. (Queue maniacal laughter…) This forced me to actually consider organizing my toys in a coherent manner. A way that could help me find toys faster, even. But, having never done this before, I didn’t really know how to go about it. I decided the glass toys would do best laid side by side in an Adult Toybox, and went from . . . read more
[This case is no longer available, but you can browse other sex toy storage options. Also check out my sex toy storage tag for more info on how I store my toys.] It pays to be on the computer 24/7, and to have Twitter updates popping up in the corner of my screen as they happen. That is how I acquired my wonderful Big Foot case from For Your Nymphomation — their owner, Vera, tweeted that she wanted some sex bloggers to review the brand new Big Foot. I leapt on the opportunity, then proceeded to use the case for months without reviewing it. Today I received some lace gloves in the mail, so I decided to gussy myself up with them and . . . read more
[This case is no longer available, but you can browse other sex toy storage options. Also check out my sex toy storage tag for more info on how I store my toys.] I confess, I used to store my toys in a cardboard box. This was back when I only had a few toys and hadn’t explored the wonderful (but expensive) possibilities of silicone and glass. I wasn’t harming my plastic toys, really, by just throwing them into the box and shoving it under my desk. But I wasn’t treating them nicely either. When I was sent this For Your Nymphomation Adult Toybox as a Christmas present, I was very excited. Finally, something that could be properly closed and stored! They sent me the . . . read more
